SYDNEY, 8 MARCH 2018 – Financial services innovator and investment manager Global Merces has launched a dynamic investment opportunity for retail and wholesale investors. The GM Media Ventures Fund will provide a unique opportunity for exposure to investments aimed at developing, distributing and commercialising media assets across the globe.
The Fund invests in the creation of content from concept to completion and commercial realisation. The Fund also invests in technology that supports the creation, distribution or monetisation of content and audiences. It capitalises on the digital transformation of the global media landscape and the escalating demand for quality content which will potentially generate long-tail returns to investors.
The GM Media Ventures Fund is the second offering in the Global Merces media portfolio. It will invest in a diversified media portfolio of up to nine major investments, focusing on early and growth stages of media assets around the world. The launch follows the success of the inaugural Global Merces Media Collection I Fund launched in 2016. To date it has invested in children’s animation assets.
Adam Schoff, GM Media Ventures Fund Asset Manager said:
